salamanda tandem's Project 20: 2009 - 2011
A 2-year project
touring to Arts Council East Midlands new Capital Buildings
A focus for artists, disabled people, academics, arts, health care, and education professionals to identify the aesthetic and ethical ingredients that define quality in participatory arts and in socially engaged arts practice.
Exploiting Salamanda Tandem's
knowledge accumulated over the last 20 years, the company will work with
regional partners to develop a series of targeted exhibitions, talks, seminars,
training courses, participatory events, site specific performances and
publications. These will be presented primarily in our home county of
Nottinghamshire, and in the region's new contemporary art buildings, in order to
illuminate the benefits that good quality arts practice and positive
environments can bring to disabled people.
