Smell Of The Blue

Performed by Eye Contact Dance Company 'Smell Of The Blue' evolved as an exploration of memories of childhood. The group shared discovery of the touch, smells and sounds in early memory, as well as recall visual images, which were integrated by the choreographer, composer and designer. In the performance live samples of sound were played and recorded from the memories developed by the company. In addition to this, parts of the piece used 'soundbeam' a new piece of sound technology, which enables people to make sounds by physical movement in the path of an invisible beam.
