Isabel Jones acted as Consultant to NCC in the development of Involve, which is marked by a productive synergy between Social Services and Arts and Leisure departments. The AWP pilot professional education programme is based on another - the certificated co-education of care workers and independent artists. Thus, within the pilot, NCC Social Services staff are being trained at NVQ Care Levels 2 and 3, through specially written modules linking arts practice to the support of independent living.
